Extremely long rotor blades have large hub diameters and often cannot pass under bridges or travel through tunnels. The length of the load is also a problem for negotiating roundabouts and tight bends. The hydraulically lift- and lowerable goose-neck in combination with pendular axle technology is a brilliant solution. Loading height can be reduced to a minimum at front and rear while ground clearance can be increased to a maximum at front and rear. With excellent tracking performance and a 60° steering angle, many obstacles become child’s play. Transporting wind turbine rotor blades safely to their destination – an operation that is becoming increasingly demanding as rotor blades grow in length and require new transport technologies.
